Statement to Applicant

  • In order to check the status of your basic eligibility check or to get additional information regarding a rejected standard eligibility check, you will need to enter the Dealer Record of Sale (DROS) transaction number that was provided to you by the dealer or vendor. Please note: transaction information is only available for 45 days.
  • If your transaction is no longer available, please visit the Department of Justice, Bureau of Firearms Home page.
  • The Dealer Record of Sale Transaction Number (DROS Number) must be 15 characters long.
  • An asterisk (*) preceding the field label means the field is required.
  • Date of Birth field must be entered as mm/dd/yyyy. Format Example: 01/01/1999.
